I have had five patients in the past year with vaccine-induced vestibular dysfunction who received a Moderna-based product. I am sorry to hear about the challenges you are having.
Great Summary. I’m retired, practiced Hem/Onc, Aerospace Medicine, Primary Care IM at various times. My experience with this problem is personal however. I was right eye dominant with a “lazy” left eye with pure lateral horizontal deviation. The treatment suggested in 1960’s was simply exercise using a popsicle stick with central convergence which I did for about two weeks. After that I just ignored it. Generally speaking it was mild and only affected my depth perception when fatigued. Sixty years later, after one Moderna injection from a batch associated with many reported side effects, both my chronic vertigo and the diplopia worsened significantly. Prism prescriptions lessen the impact/extent of the double vision but with day long use become less effective. I can observe the eye movement laterally on the left when doing anything requiring following a small dot from various PT exercises, firearm/archery training and working on close up projects requiring precision. Currently with a problem with acuity on the right eye, I have to rely on my left eye as the dominant eye with activities that require clear vision, which complicates things more. I suspect most of the problem is congenital, worsened by multi factorial vertigo issues, though I have suspicions that cranial nerve issues associated with the m-RNA injections may have played a role in this.
