I am not a vestibular therapist but I am someone struggling with Pppd. It was triggered by a BPPV episode on May 5th 2024. I am still rocking and swaying and it has developed into an anxiety disorder. I walk every day and do VT exercises, yet now it seems the anxiety itself it the trigger for the rocking/swaying. I feel like I am in a catch 22.

Meg,

Undoubtedly, it can be challenging - the imbalance makes you anxious, leading to hypervigilance. What often happens is your brain will overcompensate with VISION, leading to the persistent rocking sensation. Find a PT in your area who understands sensory strategies, as this is the source of the challenge you must overcome. Please review all my articles here on Sensory Strategies and PPPD. Keep me in the loop on how you are doing.
